Meet the founder
KATE
Kate’s passion for interior design has been a constant throughout her life. She began her journey with a degree in Textile Design, which laid the foundation for her eye for detail and love of materials. After working as a Homeware Buyer in London, Kate further honed her skills by studying Interior Design at Central Saint Martins. This led her to a career in Edinburgh, where she spent six years as a designer before opening her own studio, Studio Heim, three years ago.
Now based in Linlithgow with her husband and two working cocker spaniels, Kate focuses on creating spaces that feel like a true sanctuary. Her goal is to make the process of home design stress-free, helping you craft a serene and balanced space that you’ll enjoy for years.

Meet our design assistant
CÉLINE
Originally from the scenic island of Jersey, Céline began her career with a degree in French Literature, which led her to spend a year living in Paris. It was there that she discovered her passion for vibrant and functional design. This newfound interest guided her to study Interior Design at KLC School of Design, setting the stage for her future career.
Now based in Edinburgh, Céline specialises in creating timeless spaces inspired by the natural beauty of Scotland and Scandinavia—spaces that feel like home from the moment you step inside. Beyond interiors, Céline enjoys life with her fiancé and their beloved whippet.

RACHAEL
A degree in Three-Dimensional Design and time in Homeware buying has given Rachael a solid foundation in all things creative.
Based in Edinburgh, Rachael is surrounded by inspiration every day, from the historic architecture to the modern lifestyle stores, she is always on the lookout for new ideas and unique pieces to incorporate into projects.
She focuses on making each space both beautiful and functional with her love for texture and muted colours, believing these elements can bring a calm, sophisticated feel to any space.
When she's not designing, Rachael enjoys exploring Edinburgh's vibrant neighbourhoods, discovering new cafes, and exploring the beautiful Scottish countryside with her husband and energetic dog Nellie.
