Studio Heim Featured by COAT Paints
We’re delighted to have been featured by COAT Paints in their Real Homes series, showcasing one of our residential interior design projects in Edinburgh.
The project was a split-level traditional Edinburgh apartment, where we were brought on board to design and project manage the kitchen, open-plan living and dining space, and guest bedroom.
Our brief was to introduce a subtle Scandinavian influence while respecting the property's original character, lofty ceilings and beautiful architectural features.
Creating a Warm and Considered Colour Palette
Colour played an important role throughout the project.
Working alongside the existing ashy engineered wood flooring and the client's minimalist style, we created a warm and inviting palette using a combination of soft neutrals, earthy tones and deeper shades.
COAT's Good Intentions, Low Salt, Nomad and Sunday Soul were used throughout the home, with each colour carefully considered in relation to the property's north and south facing rooms.
The result is a calm and cohesive interior that feels contemporary while retaining the character of the traditional Edinburgh property.
