OUR STORY
Studio Heim is a boutique interior design studio delivering considered residential projects across Edinburgh, Central Scotland and beyond. Founded on the belief that good design should feel intuitive, functional and quietly beautiful, the studio creates spaces that support real life - not just aesthetics.
Our work spans full home renovations, kitchens and bathrooms, and carefully layered interiors, with a focus on longevity, material quality and thoughtful spatial planning. Every project is approached with clarity, structure and close collaboration, ensuring clients feel confident and supported throughout the process.
We work with clients both in person and remotely, offering a flexible design model that allows projects to move at the right pace and level of involvement. From early concept development through to technical detailing, sourcing and styling, each stage is carefully considered and tailored to the needs of the home and its occupants.
With team members based across Scotland and England, Studio Heim brings a broad perspective while maintaining a highly personal service — combining strategic thinking with a calm, design-led approach to delivery.
Kate Allamby
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Kate founded Studio Heim with the belief that homes should feel as good as they look. With a background in textile design and interior design training from Central Saint Martins, she brings a deep appreciation for materials, colour and spatial balance to every project.
After working as a homeware buyer in London and spending several years designing residential interiors in Edinburgh, Kate established Studio Heim to offer a more personal, human-centred approach to interior design - one that focuses on how spaces are experienced, not just how they appear.
Now based in Linlithgow with her husband, daughter, and two working cocker spaniels, Kate creates interiors that feel calm, grounded and restorative. Her goal is to make the design process clear and stress-free, helping clients create homes they truly enjoy living in.

THE TEAM
Zoe
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Zoe’s interest in design began at an early age, with a natural curiosity for how spaces are shaped and experienced. She went on to study Architectural History at the University of Edinburgh, developing a strong understanding of form, context, and spatial balance.
After spending two years living in Berlin, Zoe has returned to her native Edinburgh with her husband, their young son, and the family cat. She now brings together her architectural perspective and eye for interiors to create spaces that feel both functional and considered.
Zoe’s approach focuses on creating calm, cohesive environments that reflect each client’s lifestyle, ensuring every space feels both practical and personal.
Nathalia
LEAD GEN & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Nathalia manages Studio Heim’s client communications and online presence, ensuring every enquiry is met with clarity, warmth and care. From first contact through to project completion, she supports both clients and the design team to keep the experience seamless and well-organised.
With a degree in Geography and a natural talent for organisation, Nathalia helps ensure Studio Heim’s work and values are reflected consistently across every platform. Her focus is on building meaningful connections, sharing the studio’s story and helping clients feel informed and supported throughout their journey with Studio Heim.
David
FINANCE & NUMBERS SUPPORT
David keeps Studio Heim running smoothly behind the scenes, ensuring processes are streamlined and finances are always in check. From assisting with purchasing to managing budgets, his expertise in numbers and systems gives the team confidence and allows every project to stay organised from start to finish.
Though he doesn’t work directly with clients, his support is an essential part of making Studio Heim feel effortless and well-managed.
