A New Chapter at Studio Heim | Scottish Interior Design Studio

After almost two years as part of the Studio Heim team, we’re saying a very fond farewell to Nathalia.

Nathalia has been an incredible part of Studio Heim over the past two years, bringing so much creativity, enthusiasm and energy to the studio. From supporting our social media and marketing to helping Studio Heim grow behind the scenes, she has played a really important part in the journey of our Scottish interior design studio.

She will be hugely missed.

But while it’s always difficult to say goodbye to someone who has become such an important part of the team, we’re also incredibly happy for Nathalia and excited for what comes next.

A new chapter for Nathalia

Before joining Studio Heim, Nathalia trained in Brazil to become a Geography teacher, which is what she originally set out to do.

Now, she’s heading back to teaching and we genuinely couldn’t be happier for her.

It feels like such a lovely full-circle moment, and although we’re very sad to see her leave Studio Heim, we know this is what’s best for her. We’re so excited to see her begin this next chapter and have no doubt she’ll be an incredible teacher.

Nathalia, thank you for everything you’ve brought to Studio Heim over the past two years. Thank you for your creativity, your ideas, your hard work and, most importantly, for being such a lovely person to have around.

We’re going to miss you!

Studio Heim, back to one

Nathalia’s departure also marks a new chapter for Studio Heim.

For now, Studio Heim is back down to one.

And, actually, I’m really happy about that.

I’ve made the decision that, for the time being, I want to keep Studio Heim as a one-person interior design studio. That means taking on fewer clients, but being able to make each project more meaningful, more personal and more considered.

In many ways, we’re taking Studio Heim back to how it started.

When I founded the studio in 2021, it was just me, working closely with a small number of clients and putting everything I had into each project. As the business grew, so did the team, the number of projects and, inevitably, the number of things competing for my attention.

But life has changed too.

I’m now a Mum, and I’m learning what it means to balance running a business I love with having a young family. I’ve realised that I don’t necessarily want Studio Heim to keep growing simply for the sake of growing.

I want to enjoy it.

I want to know my clients properly, to be really involved in their projects and to have the time and headspace to make thoughtful decisions. I want to create homes that feel personal to the people who live in them, rather than constantly feeling like I’m racing towards the next project.

Some might see going back to one as a step backwards.

I don’t.

For me, it feels much more like coming back to the heart of what Studio Heim was always meant to be.

A smaller, more intentional interior design studio. Fewer projects, more time, and a more personal approach to creating beautiful, functional homes.

And right now, with a new family life alongside my business, that feels like exactly where I’m meant to be.

So, while we’re saying goodbye to one chapter, we’re also beginning another.

Nathalia, we’re so excited for you and this next adventure. You’ll always be a little part of the Studio Heim story, and we’ll be cheering you on from Scotland.

And as for Studio Heim?

Well, it’s just me again.

And honestly, I think that’s going to be just fine.
